DUE TO RECENT TRAIL AND ROAD CLOSURES HERE IS UPDATE ON WHA WE CAN DO…..
AREA1:
-2N40( behind Cal State San Bernardino)
-2N49 (Top of Palm Ave off I-215)
Both those locations are near Baldy Mesa/Lytle Creek. Would just be a matter of back hauling trash to the dumpsters at Lytle Creek.
Depending on how many participants, I would like a group of 20+ at each of the following locations/areas:
-Baldy Mesa Staging and surrounding roads/trails.
– Mormon Rocks area (3N55/Hwy 138) Large amount of trash.
-Swarthout Cyn Rd.. /Lost Lake area. Between Lone Pine Cyn Rd and Cajon Blvd.
-Lytle Creek area from Glen Helen Rd. to 3N06.
There is also some work to be done in Baldy Mesa Staging.
Trash, painting graffiti and brushing.
We can line folks out when we get started that day.
There are a few other areas on the East side of the District, but those areas are closed to vehicle use at the moment.
There is a significant amount of trash and illegal dumps throughout Lytle Creek and surrounding roads.
As well as Mormon Rocks/3N55.
I will have 2 Roll off dumpsters at Lytle Creek and 1 dumpster at our Mormon Rocks Fire Station.
AREA 2: Captain’s Michael Wayne / Andy Johnson
Main Staging area for Dump trailer will be…Lake Hemet
FROM PCT DOWN TO GARNER VALLEY
AREA IS ALL OPEN,
ALL OF LIL THOMAS MNT,
AND APPLE CANYON
(BEE CANYON / UPPER IDYLWILD AREA CLOSED)
AREA 3: CLOSED TILL FURTHER NOTICE VIA CALTRANS (sorry team we will be there next year for sure be ready)
It takes an enormous effort to coordinate this cleanup each year. Please remember to pack out your trash and leave no trace!
