DUI Suspect Crashes Into Another Vehicle In The Cajon Pass Sunday Night

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol is investigating after a suspected drunk driver is accused of crashing a white lifted Dodge Ram pickup truck into the back of a sliver Honda Odyssey van Sunday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on Interstate 15 about a ½ mile before the Oak Hill Road exit at around 10:19pm Sunday March 26, 2023. The Honda Odyssey van was occupied with 8 people 2 adults and 6 children and were traveling northbound on I-15. the Odyssey was hit from behind by the Dodge pickup truck occupied with two male adults at an unknown speed.

When rescue teams arrived they located both vehicles on the right shoulder with major damage from them. Rescue crews requested multiple ambulances to the scene. Everybody in the Honda was transported with minor to unknown injuries and later all were released in the morning.

No injuries were reported to the driver and passenger of the Dodge truck.

California Highway Patrol says the driver of the Dodge truck was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
