CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Car fire lights up the night sky in the Cajon Pass on northbound Interstate 15 Friday night.
The car fire was reported about 7:45pm Friday March 31, 2023 with the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were on scene to put out the fire on a white Chevrolet Cruze 4 door sedan just before the Kenwood Avenue exit.
CHP and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
The driver did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. It was reported flames were under the engine compartment, before the whole vehicle caught fire. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
