YERMO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A rollover crash on northbound Interstate 15 killed a person and airlifted another early Friday morning.

The collision happened at about 1:13am Friday April 14, 2023. The location was on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile after Minneola Road. California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash involving two vehicles.

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log, a driver of a BMW x1 Sport Utility Vehicle lost control at an unknown speed. The BMW veered onto the right shoulder, then overcorrected back to the left, hit a passing vehicle, and rolled-over multiple times, landing in the center divider.

Firefighters rendered aid to two people inside the BMW. Rescue crews requested two helicopters to transport one with serious injuries. Sadly the person sadly succumbed to their injuries sustained in the collision. The other person was transported by Mercy Air #66 to Antelope Valley Medical Center with Moderate bodily injury. They reported a major laceration to there right hand and head injuries.

That person’s identity has not been released publicly at this time.
