BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >>Emergency crews responded to a wreck involving two vehicles on Interstate 15 near the town of Baker Friday night.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls of a collision on northbound Interstate 15 about 7 miles after the Kelbaker Road exit. The collision happened at about 8:26pm Friday, April 14, 2023.
The two vehicles involved was a black unknown SUV and a semi tractor-trailer. The SUV reportedly rear-ended a semi at highway speeds and rolled over into the #1 and #2 lanes. The SUV reported had two people inside trapped.
Firefighters rendered aid to both people inside the SUV. Both need to be extrication out. Rescue crews requested at least one helicopter to transport one with unknown injuries. One person was transported by Mercy Air #24 to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas. The other person was transported by ground ambulance.
