BARSTOW, CA (Pain In The Pass) >> A man was airlifted to a hospital Monday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle on Interstate 15, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened around 4pm on Monday April 17, 2023, The crash happened on northbound I-15 near Hodge Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash of a black Harley Davidson motorcycle in the right shoulder.

Responding officers and rescue crews requested a medical helicopters to transport the male rider complaining of pain to his left arm and elbow and with unspecified injuries. Mercy Air #66 landed near the scene. The rider was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

A witnessed stated they seen him fishing tailing back and forth for about 3 seconds before he flip up in the air a few times with the bike. Then was ejected from the bike.

The CHP traffic log stated the rider thinks he blew a rear tire then lost control causing the crash.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office.
