HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a head-on collision on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia Monday night. (Photo above is credit by Laura Ceja)
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a head-on crash. The collision was reported about 6:47pm, on Monday May 22, 2023. The crash was located on Summit Valley Rd. between Agate Rd. and Telephone Canyon Rd. The white Chevrolet Traverse was reported to be hit by a sliver Mitsubishi Outlander both with major front-end damage.
Firefighters rendered aid to all the people involved in both vehicles and reported the driver of the Mitsubishi were deceased at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Chevy were transported by an ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries.
San Bernardino County Coroner has identified the driver as Steve L. McClune, 57, a resident of Hesperia.
The official cause of the accident is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office and additional details were limited at this time.
