MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A motorcycle rider was injured Thursday afternoon when rider were ejected on northbound Interstate 15.

California Highway Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls of a motorcycle and a rider down in traffic lanes on northbound Interstate 15 after Halloran Summit Road. The crash reportedly happened at about 3:18pm Thursday, June 1, 2023.

When rescue crews arrived they requested a medical helicopter to land at the scene. The motorcyclist was reported to have suffered major injuries with multiple lacerations. The rider was transported by Mercy Air 07 helicopter at the scene to Las Vegas University Medical Center.

Officers have yet to determine why the motorcyclist lost control. The motorcyclist was traveling in a pack with other bikers.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office.
