SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Authorities have released the name of a man killed on the transition ramp to southbound Interstate 215.
The incident happened about 9:12pm on the southbound side of State Route 259 (transition ramp to southbound I-215) near the 30th Street onramp in San Bernardino Saturday night May 27, 2023.
The pedestrian has been ID as Daniel Alan Johns, a 49 year-old resident of San Bernardino.
Authorities said Daniel was struck by at least one vehicle, with a number of vehicles stop to render aid.
The driver of the a sliver vehicle that hit the pedestrian, who was not injured, pulled over to the right shoulder and waited for first responders to arrive.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
