CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Officials with the San Bernardino County Fire Department said no injuries were reported from a vehicle fire that happened in the Cajon Pass area Wednesday evening.
California Highway Patrol and the fire Department said they received a call of a vehicle fire that happened on northbound Interstate 15 about two miles before the Oak Hill Road exit. At around 6:43pm on June 14, 2023, a gray Hyundai Tucson was reported on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Flames were coming from the engine compartment.
The driver did escape the vehicle before catching fire.
Crews managed to control the blaze before catching nearby brush. There has been no word on any injuries.
