California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash. The collision happened at 5:39pm Sunday July 2, 2023, on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile after Highway 138 exit.

A witness said the driver was speeding at high speeds on northbound I-15 in the center divider in the middle of the Cajon Pass.

The driver of the sliver Ford E-Max sedan that was speeding in the center divider, lost control, then hit two other vehicles before crashing out in the #2 lane. The other vehicles involved in the collision were a dark gray Nissan pickup truck with major damage and an unknown sedan with minor damage.

At least three people were transported by a ground ambulance to a local hospital with minor to major injuries.

Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
