According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 3:28pm on Tuesday July 11, 2023. The crash was located on southbound I-15 about a mile before Dale Evans Parkway exit. CHP said there was only one vehicle involved, a white Toyota Sienna mini-van.
The blown tire caused the Toyota to overturn, coming to a rest on the driver’s side a witness stated.
Responding officers and rescue crews from San Bernardino County and Victorville Fire Department requested a two medical helicopters to transport two people with unspecified injuries. Reach Air Medical helicopter #13 and #43 landed near the scene. The two people were transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
CHP traffic log reported that one of the victims sustained major head injuries. It was reported at least six people sustained major injuries. The other four victims were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
