The fire was called the Western Fire at about 12:01 pm where a little over four acres were burning, posing a threat to a nearby residence off of Hwy 138 and Dyer Fulp Rd., according to San Bernardino County Fire Department.

Fire crews managed to stop the forward progress of the fire at about a hour with a heavy mop-up was required. 

No structures were damaged in the fire and no injuries were reported at this time.
