PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino County Fire responded to a garbage truck fire on Frontage Road adjacent to Interstate 15 on Monday morning.(Photo above is credit by Jennifer Tebo)
The garbage truck caught fire in the Chevron gas station parking lot on Wagon Train Road next to Highway 138 and I-15 freeway. The fire was reported 11:53am on August 7, 2023
The driver wasn’t able to dumped out the trash before catch fire. Also the driver did escape before fully catching fire.
Flames were coming from the engine compartment.
Crews managed to control the blaze before catching the nearby building. There has been no word on any injuries.
