DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A small brush fire burned less than a acre on Interstate 15 in the town of Devore Monday afternoon, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. (Photo above is credit by Jake H.)

The blaze was reported about 4:44pm on August 7, 2023, along the southbound I-15 freeway right shoulder and between the 15/215 split and the Glen Helen Parkway exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP issued a Sig Alert, closing the slow lane of the for about an hour.

Forward progress of the blaze had stopped by 5pm and no injuries were reported.

The size was under a acre about a 10×10 foot section burned. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
