DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver was thrown from his motorcycle when he crashed into the back of a vehicle while speeding and weaving through traffic down Interstate 15 Sunday morning. (Photo above is credit by Karen Messinger Sanchez.)

The crash was reported about 10:52am, Sunday September 3, 2023. The crash happened on southbound Interstate 15 just after the 15/215 split. California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a motorcycle down in lanes. From the CHP traffic log stated the motorcycle rider and bike was laying down in the fast lane.

A witness stated on the CHP traffic log said the motorcyclist was weaving in and out of traffic at a very high rate of speed prior to the collision. The rider reportedly hit the back of a black/red Ford Flex going about 100mph.

Rescue crews arrived on scene, they located the rider with injuries sustained in the collision. A witness stated he was walking and talking to firefighters. The rider was transported by ground ambulance with unknown injuries to a nearby hospital.

CHP shut down all southbound lanes for about a half of hour, but the freeway has since reopened.
