California Highway Patrol was getting calls of an African American male wearing a white shirt and black pants walking on the shoulder of the freeway around 3:30pm Tuesday September 12, 2023.
As cars and semis were passing by, the man was casually strolling along the southbound lanes of the freeway between the Bear Valley Road and Main Street exits – against oncoming traffic.
It was not immediately known how long the man had been walking down the freeway, or stopping vehicles from passing him.
California Highway Patrol later stopped the man, stopping traffic momentarily before taking the man into custody.
