BAKER, CA. (Pain in the Pass) >> A motorcycle rider was injured and airlifted to the hospital after a crash involving an vehicle early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported about 12:31am, Sunday September 17, 2023. The crash happened on northbound Interstate 15 at the Basin Road exit. California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a motorcycle down. From the CHP traffic log stated the motorcycle rider and bike was laying down in traffic lanes

Firefighters rendered aid to the injured motorcyclist. Then they requested a helicopter to transport the injured rider with unspecified injuries. The rider was transported by Mercy Air #21 from the scene to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas.

The cause of this crash is unknown at this time. Debris was in lanes prior or after the collision. The debris in lanes caused multiple vehicle to pull over with flat tires.
