California Highway Patrol, CAL FIRE, and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a sliver Hyundai Sonata sedan on fire in front of the truck scale on northbound I-15 at 6:14pm on September 18, 2023.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the #3 and the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
The everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. It was reported flames were under the engine compartment, before the whole vehicle caught fire. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
