LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Authorities have identified the motorcycle rider who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 247/Old Women Springs Road Saturday afternoon.
Joseph Dalee McCool, age 37, a resident of Yucca Valley, died at the scene of the crash on Hwy 247/Old Women Springs Road at Santa Fe Rd. in the city of Lucerne Valley, the San Bernardino County
Sheriff’s Department Coroner Office said.
No details about how the crash happened have been released by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported about 3:45pm on Saturday September 16, 2023, on Hwy 247 at Santa Fe Fire Rd.
According to a witness stated on the CHP traffic log said the white pickup truck was turning left onto Santa Fe Rd. The motorcycle rider was passing the pickup truck and collided with the truck. The rider was then thrown from the motorcycle landed onto the ground.
CHP and rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures, but McCool died from injuries sustained in the crash.
