Roadwork Alert this Week on Interstate 15 between the 210 Freeway and Hwy 138. Expect Major Delays

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting the public that construction contractors will perform night work on Interstate 15 in Fontana up in the Cajon Pass. Weather permitting.

Nighttime work will occur Monday, September 25 through Saturday September 30, from 7pm to 5am* Work performed will include Northbound and Southbound Unsound Checking at various locations, including truck bypass locations. On Interstate 15 the Closures will vary from 1 lane to 3 lanes during the night. Please note, various lane and connector closures will occur in the project zone. Work performed will include deck rehabilitation, polyester concrete overlay, methacrylate, replace bridge rail, replace joint seals, approach slabs, repair soffit.
All work is dependent on contractor receiving proper materials for each job function. It can be changed or canceled at any time. The following are planned work and closure locations:

Roadwork with lane closures possibly bringing lanes down to one.

  • Interstate 15 from 210 freeway to Summit Ave. Northbound & Southbound
    Alternating Lane Reductions & Lane Closures
  • Interstate 15 from Cleghorn Rd to 2 miles before Kenwood Ave. Northbound & Southbound
    Alternating Lane Reduction & Lane Closures.
  • Interstate 215 Northbound-Truck Bypass Full Closure.
  • Interstate 15 Southbound. to Hwy 138 Eastbound & Westbound On-Ramps & Off-Ramps Closures.
  • Interstate 15 Northbound to Hwy 138 Northbound On-Ramps & Off-Ramps Alternating Closures.
  • Interstate 15 Beech Avenue Eastbound & Westbound Bridge Intersection. Alternating Lane Closures.
  • Connector Closures below
    SB 15 to EB 210 freeway-Connector Closure & WB 210-Connector Closure.
    NB 15 to EB 210 freeway Connector Closure & WB 210 Connector Closure

Times can subject to change and could go longer or start earlier. On and off ramps may be subject to closure. Please use caution and remember to reduce your speed when approaching and driving through the construction zones.

Roadwork will not be in the same spot each night.
