HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue work on a $122 million project to rehabilitate and repave traffic lanes and ramps and upgrade the drainage systems in Hesperia to Victorville in the center divider/right shoulders on Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County. This project will not add a extra lane to the freeway or for a train.
Crews continue excavation and paving operations
This new traffic patterns will go on for months from Oak Hill Road to Bear Valley Road in both directions. The traffic patterns is for crews to remove and replace concrete. Expect Major Delays at night and around 4am in the morning daily.
Monday, Sept. 25 through Saturday, Sept 30
**CONNECTOR CLOSURES will be in place at the NB/SB I-15 TO NB/SB Hwy 395. Watch for signage displaying alternate routes.
- 10-day ramp closures: Northbound Main Street off ramp will be closed from September 27 to October 7 at 4am
Monday night – Saturday morning
Northbound I-15 from Oak Hill Rd to Main Street – 9pm. to 7am*
- Alternating lane closures, possibly bringing lanes down to one.
- All on and off ramps are subject to intermittent closures for crew safety and related roadwork.
- Traffic maybe backup after Highway 138 for about 2 miles.
Southbound I-15 from Main Street to Oak Hill Rd – 7pm. – 4am*
- Alternating lane closures, possibly bringing lanes down to one.
- All on and off ramps are subject to intermittent closures for crew safety and related roadwork.
Traffic Swap: North of the Hwy 395 on the I-15 a traffic switch is in place. The northbound traffic, just north of the Hwy 395, is detoured into the median to enable crews to remove and replace concrete.
*Times can subject to change and could go longer or start earlier. On and off ramps may be subject to closure. Please use caution and remember to reduce your speed when approaching and driving through the construction zones. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or construction issues.
The project is expected to be complete in early 2025.
