PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol is looking for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Phelan Thursday night

At approximately 10:23pm, on October 5, 2023, CHP and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls pertaining to a a vehicle versus a pedestrian crash on Phelan Road near Verbena Rd.

When rescue workers arrival on scene they located a wreck motorcycle on the shoulder and the rider’s body in the middle of the westbound lanes of Phelan Rd.

Rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash.

According to CHP the vehicle involved in the crash, is possibly a BMW, that struck the motorcyclist. The rider was then thrown from the motorcycle landed onto the ground in the traffic lane. The motorist did not stop and fled the scene.

A passing white Honda Pilot SUV also struck the rider as he was laying on the ground. This driver did stay at the scene and was cooperated with officials.

The incident is still under investigation by the Victorville CHP office. They are asking anyone who knows any information to come forward.
