First responders were sent Thursday October 5, 2023, around 11:30am on Foothill Boulevard, east of the 15 Freeway in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. The vehicles involved in the collision were a motorcycle and a sedan.

A motorcyclist, later identified as Parker Monticone, 30-year-old male from Rancho Cucamonga, was riding eastbound on Foothill Blvd. and collided with a westbound vehicle, driven by Mejia-Hernandez, who was making a left into the shopping center driveway. Despite life-saving efforts by the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department, Monticone died at the scene.

Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation.
