CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A rollover crash between a car and a semi tractor trailer delayed traffic for hours in the Cajon Pass for the Friday morning commute on southbound Interstate 15 , according to the California Highway Patrol. (Photo above is credit by Chente Lopez.)
The accident happened on southbound Interstate 15 about a mile after the Cleghorn Road exit at around 4:23am on Friday October 27, 2023. The vehicle involved was reported to be a silver door sedan unknown make or model.
Witnesses of the crash say the driver of the sedan was driving at a high rate of speed while changing lanes and passing other vehicles. The driver clipped the front-end of a semi tractor-trailer, causing the driver of the sedan to swerved, lost control, which caused the sedan to overturn landing in the middle lanes.
There were no reported injuries in the crash. Several other crashes occurred in the area due to the heavy backup of vehicles caused by the rollover crash.
