HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Sunday late afternoon until Monday night. A Gusty Wind Event is for the Victor Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations. Also a Wind Advisory from the Wrightwood mountain areas.

Southern California Weather Force Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the high desert. With winds blowing around 30-40 mph in the Victor Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 40-50+ mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 40-50 mph winds. Mountains will have gust 30 to 40+ mph. Max wind gust will be 60 mph. The Wind Advisory should expire by late Monday afternoon only for the high desert.

Hazardous driving conditions are possible with periods of blowing dust especially on the Interstate 15, may result in reduced visibility from the top of the Cajon Pass to the Las Vegas area. Also gusty winds on Highway 395, Hwy 18/247, and I-40 freeway.

Those in the wind areas should secure loose items including trash cans, BBQ, and patio furniture, and so they don’t blown away, get damaged, or cause damage to themselves.
