KRAMER JUNCTION, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 18-year-old female driver was killed after her car crashed into a passing semi tractor trailer on Highway 395 Monday night. A GoFundMe has been created in hopes of helping the family with the financial hardship.

The San Bernardino County coroner’s office has identified 18-year-old Haley C Carper, 18 of Rowland Heights as the victim. She was killed when her gray/silver Honda sedan lost control and rolled over multiples times. The sedan crossed over the center line landing on its wheels, entering the path of passing semi tractor trailer travailing in the opposites directions. The collision was reported about 8:18pm November 20, 2023, on Highway 395, about 4 miles south of Kramer Junction, per a prior Pain In The Pass article.

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log stated, the driver of the sedan was trapped inside the completely destroyed sedan, with deployed airbags obscuring visibility inside. When the rescue crews arrived to rendered aid to the driver, but sadly she succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.

The GoFundMe is to try to help alleviate some of the financial hardship. Any amount will help and will be very appreciated.

This incident is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
