PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol is investigating two separate traffic collisions on Highway 138 within 11 minutes and about 3 miles apart. (Photo above is credit by Alec Sequeira)

The first crash happened on Highway 138 at Lone Pine Canyon Road at 5:40pm Saturday December 2, 2023. The vehicles listed on the CHP traffic log involved in this collision were a white mini van, a sliver pickup truck, a unknown color sedan, and black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

No injuries were reported by the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

Eleven minutes later, there was a second crash. This one happened on Hwy 138 about two miles away from I-15 freeway, near Forest Route 3N45. The vehicles listed on the CHP traffic log involved in this collision was a Chevrolet Yukon, a Kia sedan, and a pickup truck.

One person was taken to a local hospital via ambulance with unknown injuries. The other drivers were reportedly uninjured.

We will update both incidents with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. Both incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
