CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Traffic all day was a nightmare for Monday commuters due to emergency guardrail repair and the recovery of the semi that went over the side of Interstate 15 Sunday afternoon. (Photo above is credit by Jay Kat.)
Agony Pain In The Pass Facebook Group members reported to call off work, missed appointments times, and others do to the traffic congestion.
Adding to the nightmare people were using their traffic maps to find a faster route around the crash scene. Also both sides of Highway 138 were highly congested all day.
Caltrans and California Highway Patrol officials said the only closure was the entrance to the southbound scales. The closure follows the traffic crash of the semi that lost his brakes then crashed into hundreds of feet of guardrail and went over the side of the freeway.
So looky-loos were slowing to a stop to see the damage wreckage of the semi and trailer, making it an hour to two plus hour commute.
