California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were getting calls of a white van on fire on southbound Interstate 15 just after Cleghorn Road exit. The car fire was reported about 6:17am on December 26, 2023, with flames coming from the engine compartment.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene to work on getting the vehicle fire put out. They had to temporary shut down the fast lane and the #2 lane. This caused traffic to backup quickly all the way to Ranchero Road.
The vehicle was reported to be a empty white Sprinter Van. The delivery driver did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
