CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A crash involving two vehicles and a dump truck snarled traffic in the Cajon Pass Saturday morning for several hours. (Photo above is credit by Lnj Hidalgo)
The crash happened shortly after 5:30am on southbound Interstate 15 just after Cleghorn Road exit, according to the California Highway Patrol. San Bernardino County Fire and EMS Department were called to the scene. Two lanes of the freeway were opened several hours later at 7:30am. Two slow lanes were shut down due to the dump truck and the trailer disabled in the lanes. Heavy debris from both vehicles were scattered across all the traffic lanes.
The crash involved a dump truck pulling a trailer and two cars unknown make or models, according to the CHP Traffic Log.
As a result of the crash and cleanup effort, the southbound lanes were closed for several hours, all lanes were reopen about 8:30am.
Only minor injuries were reported in the crash.
