CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Multiple commuters notices at least 5 mysterious, white streaks across the sky above Cajon Pass Friday afternoon.
What we know it’s a flight pattern from Northern California cities like San Jose and San Francisco Airports.
These are contrails they are formed from jet engine exhaust very high in the sky.
“Contrails or vapor trails” are line-shaped clouds produced by aircraft engine exhaust or changes in air pressure, typically at aircraft cruising altitudes several miles above the Earth’s surface. They are composed primarily of water, in the form of ice crystals. The combination of water vapor in aircraft engine exhaust and the low ambient temperatures at high altitudes cause the trails’ formation.
Rockets also produce contrails.
“Chemtrails”, meanwhile, is a separate, pseudoscientific idea that governments or corporations are spraying chemicals from planes to kill, control the weather, or poison people. There is lack evidence for their claims of chemtrails.
The chemtrails theory has circulated since 1996, when conspiracy theorists misinterpreted a U.S. Air Force research paper about weather modification.
