WRIGHTWOOD, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A crash between a pickup truck and a car on Highway 2 in Wrightwood left one person dead on Friday morning. (Photo above is credit by Sarah J Bailey)
The crash occurred about 10:45am Friday January 19, 2024 on Highway 2 at Scrub Oak Drive. The two vehicles involved in the collision were a sliver Honda Civic sedan and a sliver Ford F-150 pickup truck.
California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the collision. One person was pronounced deceased on scene and one person was transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time. The roadway was closed for over 4 hours as they did a investigation on the collision.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
