WRIGHTWOOD, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> When winter weather hits, we want roadways be safely clear of snow and ice. But that process led to tragedy crash on Highway 2 with a black pickup truck, a white car, and snow plow truck. (Photo above is credit by Gayle Valenti)

The collision was reported about 7:44am Wednesday morning on January 3, 2024, near the intersection of Hwy 2 and Desert Front Road when Tyson Bell, 44-years-of age a resident of Wrightwood lost control of his vehicle, hitting black ice and collided into a Caltrans slow plow truck traveling towards the town of Wrightwood.

Driver inattention is being considered as a possible cause; the weather conditions were cloudy with light snow falling, but the roads were icy.
