BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues $28.1M emergency work on Highway 127 (SR-127). Contractor crews are in the area clearing placing shoulder backing, constructing a cut off wall, installing rip rap and finishing drainage work.

THE ROUTE IS NOW FULLY OPEN TO THROUGH TRAFFIC WITH CONSTRUCTION OCCURRING IN SHOULDER AREAS ONLY FROM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 6AM TO 4PM. No flagging will occur at this time, unless needed to complete repair work. This portion of construction activity is expected to continue through the end of June 2024.

Update on the Percent Work Completed is 58% as of February 10, 2024.

Drivers, please adhere to signage placed ahead of work areas to alert the public about roadwork ahead. Flagging operations may occur on holidays or weekends, as required, to continue with scheduled repair operations.
