Officials with the California Highway Patrol said on Tuesday, April 2 at about 2:10pm, officers tried to pull over an allegedly driver that was brandishing a knife at motorist in San Bernardino along northbound Interstate 15 near Glen Helen Parkway exit.

The suspect was driving a silver Toyota Corolla with the male driver waving a knife out of the window while stopping in traffic lanes.

Despite repeated attempts to get him to stop on northbound Interstate 15, the driver sped off — leading CHP on a chase up the busy Cajon Pass at speeds of over 80 miles per hour.

The suspect continued to evade officers for several miles and the vehicle eventually exited at Roy Rogers Drive.

The suspect, later identified as “Saintanthony Fatheryouhanna”, a 40-year-old resident of Newberry Springs stopped at Valley Center Drive in Victorville.

The driver attempted to walk away into a Valley Hi dealership. He was eventually arrested for resisting arrest and felony evading.

No injuries were reported.
