Their friends and family confirmed both deaths on Facebook. Details about the accident were not immediately available at this time of this news story.
What we know Daniel and Jackie Meredith the owner of Daniel Meredith Plumbing & Septic in Phelan. Both of them were traveling northbound I-15 freeway just past the town of Baker about 1:06pm on Friday April 5, 2024. They were in a crash near the end of Baker Boulevard exit. California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision.
The vehicles involved were a silver tour bus with major rear-end damage and a white Dodge Ram pickup truck with major front-end damage.
The Meredith’s family were traveling in the white Dodge Ram pickup truck that may have lost control, or veered in the pass of the bus. Its unknown if the bus was disabled or traveling near the same speed as the truck in 3rd lane, or the driver had a medical emergency.
First responders arrived at the scene and pronounced one person deceased inside the pickup truck. One person was serious injured. That person was rush by ground ambulance to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas where they were pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Family members are asking others for prayers and to donate through a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for the funeral cost.
