The California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and the Forest Department says they responded to a vehicle fire around 2:17pm on northbound Interstate 15, about 2 mile after the Highway 138 exit. According to a report, the semi-truck was traveling north when its trailer axle tires blew.

The tires caused the trailer and the mobile home on it to quickly catch on fire. The mobile home was destroyed by the fire. The slow lane has been blocked due the cleanup and to move the semi and trailer to the right shoulder.

The driver was able to safely exit. No injured were reported.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time of the story. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
