RIALTO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A motorcyclist died after hitting the back of a car on the 210 Freeway Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. (Photo above is credit by Caltrans)

The crash happened on eastbound 210 Freeway just after N. State Street around 3:45pm on April 21, 2024, according to CHP. The two-vehicles reported in the collision were a gold Scion and a unknown color or bike model.

Officials say the motorcyclist was traveling at high speeds prior to the collision and a rider hit the back of Scion car traveling in the #1 lane. The rider was then thrown from the motorcycle landed onto the ground in the HOV lane.

CHP and rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The identity of the rider is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
