SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters quickly control a small brush fire that broke out near Highway 138 in the Cajon Pass Wednesday afternoon. (Photo above is credit by Alert California.)
The World Fire was reported at about 4:25pm Wednesday, May 8, 2024. The location of the fire was on Highway 138 about one mile east of Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass. San Bernardino County Fire Department, San Bernardino National Forest firefighters and CAL Fire firefighters were quickly on scene.
It was reported pallets were on fire on a service road next to Hwy 138. By 4:50pm the fire had forward progression stopped at about a ¼ acre burned.
The freeway or structures was never affected by the flames or the smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
