PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The Coroner’s Office Sunday released the name of a 50-year-old male motorist killed after a rollover crash on Interstate 15.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:55am about 5 miles from the Cima Road on northbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 158 on Sunday May 12, 2024. California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving one vehicle. From what the CHP traffic log stated a red Chevrolet Suburban went off the freeway into the center divider. The vehicle rolled over multiple times.
Despite life-saving rescue measures, firefighter officials said the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The motorist has been ID as Dexter Hyatt, a 50-year-old resident of Hawthorne.
The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
