APPLE VALLEY, CA, (Pain In The Pass) >> The driver of a pickup truck was airlifted to a trauma hospital Thursday morning after his vehicle collided with a semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 15, authorities confirmed. (Photo above is credit by OnSceneTV.)

The crash was reported in the area of southbound I-15 at the Wild Wash Road onramp at 1:44am on June 13, 2024. The two vehicles involved was reported to be a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a semi. For reasons still under investigation, the pickup truck driver veered in the back of the semi-trailer.

According to California Highway Patrol, the driver of the pickup truck became trapped and was extricated from the vehicle by Apple Valley Fire Department. Firefighters responded to the incident and requested a helicopter to transport. After extensive work by firefighters, the driver was extricated and transported to a waiting ambulance at the scene. Then the ambulance transfer the driver to Mercy Air #2 helicopter waiting at the Dale Evans Parkway exit.

The driver was then airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Trauma Center, where he is listed in critical condition.
