California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and San Bernardino National Forest firefighters were getting calls of a vehicle on fire on northbound Interstate 15 just after the Kenwood Aveune exit. The car fire was reported about 5:57am on June 26, 2024, with flames coming from the engine compartment.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene to work on getting the vehicle fire put out. They had to temporary shut down the slow lane.

The vehicle was reported to be a white Chevrolet unknown sedan. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
