According to San Bernardino County Fire, they responded to reports of multiple vegetation fires and a report of a structure fire in Phelan or Pinion Hills area. Calls were coming in from everywhere in the Victor Valley area. Multiple fires caused by fireworks, including the biggest one was at Daisy Lane near Sheep Cheek Road in Phelan around 9:30pm that burned 8 acres. One fire on Pepperwood Street in Victorville just before 8:30pm that burned 4 of acres. A fire in Adelanto on Highway 395 at Cactus Rd.at 8pm that burned 3 acres. Then at least 5 more small fires in Phelan area.

Flames did threaten homes in the areas posted above. It’s unclear if anyone was hurt or if there was any damage to homes or buildings in the area. Officials said that even though how each fire started is still under investigation, and each incident is a good example of just how dangerous fireworks can be.
