A brush fire broke out in the in Angeles National Forest Friday afternoon near Camp Bonita/Camp William area. The blaze, dubbed the “Fork Fire”, was first reported about 3:30pm on July 19, on East Fork Road and Glendora Mountain Rd.
Officials initially reported that the fire making a hard push up hill to more than 75+ acres by 4pm.
Update at 4:30pm the fire is somewhat holding at the top of the ridge and has burned over 300 acres.
Evacuations were ordered near the start of the fire.
A tall plume of smoke was rising from the mountains above Wrightwood area. At this time the fire is far away from the town of Wrightwood.
Details about how the fire started were not immediately available at this time.

Update at 6pm with updateing mapping the fire is at 250 acres. Reporting two children sustained smoke inhalation injuries.
Saturday update at 6pm the fire is 330 acres burned and 30% contained.
