BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A two-vehicle crash on the Interstate 15 near the town of Baker Wednesday morning.

The traffic accident occurred at around 5:30am on September 4, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log. The collision was reported about 4 mile north of the town of Baker on Northbound I-15 Freeway.

CHP officials reported a silver BMW SUV and a dark-colored sedan were involved. The sedan went off the roadway into a ditch negative overturned and the SUV had major front-end damage that stop on the right-hand side of the freeway.

Emergency services, including the fire department and an ambulance, were called to the scene. At least one person was transported to a local hospital and two tow trucks were dispatched to remove the vehicles involved in the accident.

Debris was scattered across multiple lanes of the roadway as CHP did a traffic break for the removal of the debris.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
