The crash occurred just before 9pm on Sunday September 15. The crash location was on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile before the Cleghorn Road exit.

From the CHP Traffic Log said, the semi moved into the left lane and then suddenly swerved back, then lost control and overturned, according to a preliminary crash report from the California Highway Patrol.

It looks like the trailer’s load shifted, and the semitrailer overturned onto its left side blocking the two right lanes.

There is no timetable for the two northbound lanes to fully reopen, but two lanes are opened for traffic around 12am after the semi was pulled upright and the trailer could begin the offloading process.

Minor injuries are reported at the scene, but it unknown if it was the driver of the semi.

They hope to have the semi fully cleared at around 5am.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
