The California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department says the crash happened about 5:29pm on September 21, 2024, on Highway 138 at the sharp turn between Interstate 15 and Summit Valley Road. It was reported to be a solo vehicle crash on the CHP Traffic Log. The motorcycle involving was a black/silver Harley-Davidson type of motorcycle.

It looks like the rider was speeding when they made a sharp turn and ended up on the wrong side of the highway. Both were ejected from the bike and landed near the guardrail.

Both were transported from the scene by ground ambulance to a local hospital with moderate bodily  injuries.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
