California Highway Patrol says the two-vehicle crash involved a white Ford F-150 pickup truck and a gold color motorhome. The crash occurred just after 2pm on Saturday September 21, 2024, on Highway 247/Old Woman Springs Road at Rattlesnake Canyon Rd.

According to California Highway Patrol traffic log, the driver and a passenger of the pickup truck became trapped and was extricated from the vehicle by San Bernardino County Fire Department. Firefighters then requested two helicopters to transport. After extensive work by firefighters, the driver and passenger were extricated and transported to a waiting helicopter at the scene.

The two victims were flown by Mercy Air #22 and Mercy Air Big Bear H285 helicopter to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. Their conditions are unknown as of Saturday evening.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
