PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A man was killed Tuesday night  after being hit by a vehicle along Highway 138 in Phelan, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported about 5:34 p.m. on November 12, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log. The incident happened on eastbound Highway 138 near Dusty Lane in Phelan. When CHP officers arrived, they found a male pedestrian half naked lying in the traffic lanes.

It’s reported the driver in the Tesla did stop at the scene and had major front-end damage.

San Bernardino County Fire Department also said one person was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center with major injuries. At this time, it’s unknown if it was the driver of the Tesla.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene by rescue crews. Authorities withheld his name, pending notification of his relatives.
